Your practical Andaman itinerary
Use the day-by-day plan to understand where you stay and how the islands connect. Ferry timings and weather-sensitive activities are reconfirmed before travel.
Arrival & rider briefing
Airport transfer, bike fitting / condition check and a route briefing covering support vehicle, hydration, road discipline, reserve-area rules and emergency procedures. Keep the first day easy before the riding starts.
Mount Manipur / Shoal Bay circuit · approx. 70 km
Start after an early breakfast. Use the current ferry/road connection required for the route, ride through forested sections and descend toward the Shoal Bay side. Return with support-vehicle backup available for riders who need to stop early.
Chidiya Tapu coastal ride · approx. 55 km
Ride the South Andaman coastal route toward Chidiya Tapu. A short Munda Pahar walk can be added only if the riding group has enough daylight and energy. Return before dark.
Northbound stage to Rangat · approx. 50 km riding plus supported transit
Follow the current Andaman Trunk Road transit rules. Cycling is planned only on sections where it is currently permitted and safe; protected-area transit is handled according to official restrictions. Continue to Rangat for the night.
Rangat to Diglipur · long endurance stage
The longest and most demanding day. Ride north with scheduled hydration, meal and mechanical-support stops. The support vehicle remains available throughout the stage; the final distance ridden may be adjusted for weather, road conditions and rider safety.
Recovery day & Ross–Smith excursion
No long cycling stage. Recover and visit Ross & Smith Islands when boats and permits are operating. The return-to-Sri-Vijaya-Puram arrangement is confirmed according to the current road/sea schedule rather than assumed in advance.
Return / departure
Complete the final transfer and departure. Flight timing must allow for the confirmed return from North Andaman; an additional buffer night is recommended when the connection is tight.
